How We Work
I, (Ganesh) have worked in the trades for over two decades now, and I have seen crews being managed in a variety of ways. The two major things I have witnessed which create great inefficiency are crews composed entirely of younger/less experienced individuals, and crews captained by elder/very experienced individuals, but who’s knowledge/experience is frozen in time, them having failed to keep up with the near constant rate of development of technology in the building trades.

In my experience both the quality and speed of work are increased greatly with a well designed and laid out work situation. For this reason we use full fences on all our miter saws, and real out-feed tables on our table saws. We have adjustable height, quick setup and breakdown work tables and rolling work stations, with mounted miter saws when necessary to allow for a minimum of walking to and from saws around a job site.
